SE PRO 110 Performance upgrade kit fitted. (PN 27548-10A)
« on: June 02, 2011, 12:05:19 AM »

For those thinking of doing this upgrade I thought I would let you know how mine went.
There is a fantastic improvement right across rev range!
I already had a PC5 fitted , so the guys at the dealer credited back the SE tuner.
I will run it for about 800km to let things settle in and then get another Dyno tune , but I can tell already there is huge improvement.
I will post the Dyno Chart when I get it done.
I had fitted V&H power duals with High Output slip-ons and also fitted the PC5 when I had the first tune done and I got 92.38hp and 109 ft-lbs torque.
It feels like the new SE-259E cams and  HC pistons have added at least 15% to both power and torque - but as I said I will post the Dyno Chart after next tune.
Very Happy with this result  :pepper:

I'm eagerly awaiting some Dyno posts.  What are the specs on that cam?  Did you use stock valve springs or put new ones in?

I will post Dyno Chart when I get it.
The upgrade kit comes " in-a-box" kit and includes the SE-259E cams , Hi-compression 10.5:1 pistons and rings , perfect fit pushrods , high performance clutch spring and gaskets and the SE pro EFI super tuner ( Not used).
SE-259E cam has .579/.579 inch lift for both intake and exhaust , duration of 246/250 degrees , TDC lift is 0.182/ .155 inch.
See page 55 of 2011 Screamin Eagle Catalogue.

Dave H.,
Thanks for the info.  Those are some pretty stout numbers (both compression and cam specs).  I'll bet your guess of a 15% gain is right on the money.

Hi Dave,

Great result, My goal is at least 110HP, 110 torque from 110 CU. I was thinking of the V&H duals as well but my Harley Dealer said he gets better results from the V&H 2in1 HO pro pipe, it looks good too. While the engine is in pieces I'm having the roller rockers, roller lifters and SE race double valve springs installed. Should a little extra life to the engine.  Should have the first Dyno results in a few weeks, of course it will take at least 800Km before the big tune can be done to open her right up.

Cheers

If it were me I would consider not using SE race double valve springs. I think they have too much pressure on the valve train. Consider a set of racing beehive springs from Comp Cams or one of the other vendors talked about on the forum. Surly you have to have someone down under that would have these available.

 Hi captdave221,

Thanks for the recommendation, I've thought about 3rd party internal engine parts, I've decided to go with genuine parts. My HD Dealer is providing warranty for the the work but can only do so with HD parts.
