Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the Adaptiv Technologies TPX radar detector system?

Sounds interesting, but I am wary of any radar detector that I haven't heard of - especially one associated with selling jammers.  If you want portable, there are battery operated Escorts, if you want good, there are regular Escorts and Valentine 1 models.  Expensive, but if I was in the market, those are the only places I would look.

If you can.....that's a big if!....find an HD detector and mount in someone's old stock....I have found nothing better for fit and performance(ruggedized Escort passport 8500).

I've got friends with the latest and greatest radar dececters and they still get busted  ;D. So I don't trust any those out their and their claims......besides, any of the jaming units will get you in more trouble than the speeding tickets....

I've got a Valentine One in my car, and it saves my a$$ routinely.  But they don't make a cycle friendly model...  :(

Some one needs to invent and market a small, hidden radar detector for bikes. The would sell a ton of them.

Hubbard has one mounted in his rearview mirrors, if I remember correctly...wonder what it is.  Doc

Alright then...  I'll be the guinea pig...

I just ordered one.  We'll see how it goes and I'll report back once tested!

Once I get it, it shouldn't take long....   ::) :P
