Switching fullsac cores.

 :confused5:

Have decided to switch from Steve's 2" cores to his 2.25" cores in my 2010 SGSE stock cans. I don't seem to be able to bust loose the 2" cores to remove them. I would welcome any advice, hints, usuable tools, etc.  Thanks.

Just put the big hammer out of reach when your pissed at it. Sometimes soaking the inside with something like WD40 will help get them to come loose.

You did loosen the muffler clamp as well--didn't you? They won't come out unless the clamp that holds the muffler to the headpipe is loose...just figured I would ask the obvious...you never know.

Old Harley Dude, I have pulled and replaced a lot of baffles. When you are sure you have everything loose try using a slide hammer with a tip on it that can grab the baffle. They usually pop right out for me that way with little effort. CAHDBIKER

I switch them constantly, use a piece of 2"x4" about 2 feet in length hold  the rear muffler hanger in place on the 2 by 4 and drop it against a hard surface the inertia will pop the baffle out with very little effort.
