Good starting TTS map for Fatcat?
« on: June 18, 2011, 08:58:54 AM »

I'm gonna be installing a new fatcat on my '11 CUSE today.  Trying to decide what's the best TTS map to use as a starting point.
Any suggestions?

I assume the ones designated as "CVO" take into account the 255 cams?  But there are also 1800 maps that don't reference CVO.  Some of the CVO ones also reference a 58mm throttle body (dunno what the stock CVO throttle body is?)

Thanks in advance

I would use ETA009-03-A0.  The cam settings are 3-2 and match my 255 CVO.  You can verify this with a cam tune run for yourself, that's what I did.

I assume you still have your 2-1-2 exhaust and a ventilator AC.  I don't know if you still have your factory head pipe or not so do some simple vtune runs to optimize the tune for your bike.

I ended up using EUJ009-03 (1800 CVO, A/C, Exhaust).  The pipe is a D&D Boss Fatcat (2-1, comes with a new headpipe and muffler)

It runs really well just with the map above installed.  In fact it's like a totally different bike now.
I'll be vtuning it over teh next few evenings.

Thanks for the suggestion

@Kerb - Do you have any pics? I have seen a few pics but have never seen them personally.  How do you like them so far (looks & sound)?  I am thinking about adding them to my SESG.  I really like the way they look and perform.

You have to install the usb drivers that come on the TTS Mastertune CD.  If you didn't, your computer won't be able to "see" the mastertune.

I will take some pictures today and put them up for you.  I like these pipes a lot.   They sound great!

With the stock exhaust on, the throttle wasn't very responsive at all.
With this pipe, it is hard to be smooth on the throttle for the vtune runs because the throttle is so much more responsive.

You need to open an available comport.

Choose the map you want to install, go to "program ECM", when that opens go to "file" and choose an open com port, then proceed to program the map.

You might want to address your questions directly to Steve Cole, the inventor, owner and proprietor of the TTS product.  He's a site member.  He's a helpful sort and always takes questions about his product with good cheer so all concerned should check with him.

That looks really sharp. The chrome finish appears to be first class!
