Do you have a Power Commander PCV on the bike?  If so that's one of many problems with the Power Commander on the newer bikes.

You need to contact the Power Commander folks.  This has been a known problem since the electronic throttle bikes came out, and while I haven't kept up with the issue I do know that originally they just told folks to have the dealer do the Stage 1 download to reset the rev limit to 6200 and disable the Rev-Extend in the PC.  To me that is a pretty lame answer, and I would hope that they would have come up with something better over the past four years.  And I'm not so sure there is a stage 1 download they can do on a CVO these days anyway.

Power Commander does not have a fix yet for the "drive by wire" systems yet.

I replaced my PCV with the Mastertune TTS and what a difference in performance.  You have dozens of parameters you can "tweak" including idle speed, RPM etc.  It is designed to run with the O2 sensors by fooling them electronically making it an open loop system.  It also comes with the V-Tune system allowing the bike to "tune" itself as you drive using your base parameters.

I downloaded one of their caned programs, bike runs better than it ever has and I was able to increase my idle speed and smooth out a lot of the rough idle.  I personalty think the TTS is the only way to go, it does not comply with current emmisions and allows you to really tune the bike with out any EPA guidelines.  Mastertune was the company that made the SERT for Harley before the emission regs stopped Harley from selling them.  The SERT that Harley has now is EPA compliant.

Careful there.  Harley now offers two products, only one of which is EPA compliant (and pretty much useless as well).  The Screamin' Eagle Pro Super Tuner, or SEPST, is the full function "For Race Use Only" version that allows adjustment of all parameters.  I agree that the TTS product would be my choice over the Harley SEPST, but that has to do with many other issues I won't go into and not the capabilities of the device/software.

btw, if Power Commander can't fix this issue after 4 years, don't you think they owe some folks a refund?  I'd have a chat with them and give them the opportunity to buy it back, then go out and buy a product that works with my particular bike.  :nixweiss:

I went with the ThunderMax Auto tuner. No dyno required and it will re-tune to any new mods in the future without the need of a future dyno. Also I am told that it is not married to the bike and can be re-installed in a different bike if you sell the one you currently have.

I had the pcv on a 09 103ci & the tach wasnt a issue must be a 10-11 issue
