Made the old Bushtec Roadstar look better
« on: June 21, 2011, 11:36:15 PM »

Even though it's their smallest volume trailer I always liked the lines of Bushtec's Roadstar model best.  To my eye it just looks good behind a big Harley.

All except their lighting choices.  They use square brake light lenses.  Replaced those with the old angles "Aurora" lenses a long time ago.  That helped a lot.  But still had the fugly old fashioned fuddy duddy ugly turn signals. :puke:

Few years ago Harley offered a set of flamed turn signals.  It was housings, sockets, etc.  Full kit to use on something like a Road King with handlebar mounted signals.

Used two of those kits and swapped the guts around to make front signals for the Road Glide and for the SERK project.  Did that awhile ago.  Had enough pieces left, with the addition of the mounting legs, to put a set on the trailer too.

Much better :2vrolijk_21: .

Don those look good - much better than the originals.  But I have to observe....based on the photos, with vast amounts of open garage space, I have to ask you, just how big is your garage/man cave???  Looks to be able to accomodate a Cessna!

It's a good playroom Bill.  Tried making a 360 panorama shot of the side of the shop the bikes are on awhile back.  It's a little funky, but it gives an idea.

I thought I did good when I built my last house by making the garage XTRA large - apparently I underestimated the scope of what a LARGE garage was.  Mine holds a couple of BMW's and my RG with jacks and tool boxes, but it is nowhere close to your cavern.  Well done...

Thank you sir!

That panorama image may distort things a bit.  But that half of the shop is still a great playroom.  It is nice to have room to work/play out there and it's a joy to have all the tools and equipment organized and accessible.  The other side isn't as big.  But the car lift and wood tools and office are on that side.
