Brakes???
« on: June 26, 2011, 09:20:20 PM »

03 SERK...
I have got a slight problem when rolling to a stop.  The bike lunges a little with the front brakes at slow speeds.  I am thinking it is a warped rotor (or rotors).  Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks,
Eric

as you suspect, sounds as if your rotor(s) are warped. I replaced mine (08' @ 10k due to that very condition). If you can't determine yourself (warped or not), best take it in to a shop and have a professional evaluate.....we never want brakes till we need 'em, but when we do, they need to work right....

Have the wheel checked also.  If the mounting surface for the rotor isn't in spec, even a good rotor will eventually warp.  And this was a known problem.
