Here's another one to check out, We were there July 1st to the 4th: The Lodge at Copperhead.com in Blairsville, Ga. and make sure you ride The Gauntlet, this is 133 miles of tight twisties and long sweeping turns, Instead of 11 miles like The Dragon, The North Ga. Mtns. are awesome. I live in East Knoxville and its 127 miles to The Lodge. We are already planning another long week end there sometime this Fall.

I'm just up the road from you in Tazewell can you post the route?

I'll also have to put that Back of Dragon ride on the to do list.

We came back from PA on 220 in MD, WV and VA, this weekend and it was a great road.

Dr. D ere are the directions: From Knoxville take Hwy 129 south (Alcoa Hwy, Airport) from I 40 thru Maryville 129 and 411 run together until Greenback stay on 411 south to Vonore turn left on hwy 360 (Shell & Hardees) stay on 360 until it dead ends then turn right to stop sign, Turn Left on Hwy 68, this takes you thru Coker Creek, Tutletown,Ducktown and Copper Hill when you cross into Ga. road changes to Hwy 5 to Blueridge, Ga. Turn left or East on Hwy 76/515 then go appox. 18 to 20 miles look for Hwy 325 (Nottley Lake Dam Rd) which will be  on your left, But instead of turning left you will turn right The Lodge is 1 mile on your right.

If you stay at the Lodge tell them you are a CVO Member, Michelle will give you a discount on the rooms and she has maps of the Gauntlet which starts there at the Lodge. If you plan on staying at the Lodge i would call and make reservations, This place is NOT a dump they have just completed remolding the the rooms we thought we were in some fancy Hotel in a big city not out in the middle of the N. Ga. Mtns.  I think we are going back this fall instead of Daytona or P. City to the bike Rally's.  :2vrolijk_21:

Dr. D, Hwy 360 from Vonore to Tellico Plains, Map shows it as other road, but its a very good paved road, i have riden it a dozen times or so. Another route you can take is Hwy 129 south from Knoxville to Blairsville, Ga then take 76/515 west to the Lodge, But you have to ride The Dragon which i don't care anything about riding.
