Kuryakyn LED's
« on: June 28, 2011, 01:40:45 PM »

I just installed the Kuryakyn LED turn signals, front and back, on my 2011 Convertible and they work great and are bright.  They also don't need a load equalizer.  If anyone is interested be sure to check them out.

Part # 5443 & 5449.  I bought the smoke front and back. If you want the amber and red LED's call Kuryakyn and ask for the comparable red and amber.  The cost is $129.99 X 2. When I called Kuryakyn to ask about them they weren't sure they would work without the load equalizer so I've sent them a note to tell them that a load equalizer is not needed.

They are bright!

I'm not going to be able to send photos for a while because I'm leaving for a road trip!!!!!

I use the Custom Dynamics units on all my bikes with the run turn stop flash on my road king and dresser. The convertible doesnt need that because the turn signals already act as brake lights as well. They are very bright they do require the load equalizer but they are $69.95 a set.

I also use the kit from Custom Dynamics on my ConV. Now no one wants to be the guy directly behind me at a stop light they are so bright. Hehehehe...

I've seen your pictures of your Custom Dynamic LED turn signals and they do look great. I went with Kuryakyn LED's because I didn't want to fool with the load equalizer.

The Kuryakyn LED's look great as well.

PS: I got the HD LED headlight like yours and I love it.

It would be nice as they certainly have visibility :2vrolijk_21:
But per their website: Dynamic Clusters™ are NOT Dot approved, for off road or show use only.

I saw that but it would be visible enough. I would like to have some kind of additional break lighting Kuryakyn has a filler bar panel that fits the back bar. It would take a little splicing and wiring it into the existing pins but I think it would look great and give me the extra break lighting I'm looking for.

Etudeguy....can I assume that your smoked version still lights amber in the front and red in the rear?

Your correct, when the bike is turned on the front LED's are amber and the rear LED's are red. When parked they are a light smoke.
