I traded in an 08 SEUC on a new SERGU.  The 08 Ultra had an SE Air Cleaner, V&H Monster Ovals, and TTS Mastertune.  It was tuned a little rich.  I haven't changed anything on the new Road Glide.  The non-objective butt dyno feels that the Road Glide runs just as strong as the 08.  The exhaust tone is a little tame, but the Monster Ovals used to resonate at cruise RPMs and got tiresome on long rides.  The Road Glide feels hotter but I don't feel it on the right leg like most people complain about.  In stop and go or when stopping to pay a toll, I feel it big time on the left calf from the primary cover.  That's one of the problems with having short legs.  Other than that, the Road Glide has much better wind management.  The Road Glide is noticeably heavier than the Ultra and although I've asked the question in the forums, nobody has a good explanation of why the CVO Road Glide is so much heavier than a standard Road Glide Ultra than a CVO Ultra is over a standard Ultra.  The good news is, in stock trim, the Road Glide is getting 5-6 mpg better than the Ultra.

My SERGU stock trim lasted until the 1K service. V/H Monster Ovals, S&S twin air intake and a remap of the throttle response is all I have changed so far. Performance increase was noticable with all three mods but the exhuast helped the most. Also helped cut down on the heat to an extent. Plan on a Full Sac catless header system with a TTS Mastertune. Removed the lowers (never been a big fan) and that helped with temps too but not while stopped.
Everyone has an IMHO answer but it is up to you to decide what is right for your tastes. Some guys ride stock, some go wild and some wind up in between. :2vrolijk_21:

The CVO was supposed to be the answer for those that wanted a "custom" bike but done at the factory. Well that is the advertising that I read.  I guess that old addage that you can not please everybody is true.

Oh yeh they produce heat. ;) I think they are to hot in the summer but not enough in the winter. :huepfenlol2:
