Hard Ride Audio
« on: June 30, 2011, 03:57:17 PM »

Hi folks, was wondering if anyone has input on this package or if anyone has put this package in their SERG? The package features Hertz speakers, 6.5" adapters but not sure what kind of amp is included, does it look familiar to anyone? Think it would be a good 500 watt system for $548.00? I'm only putting them in the fairing, no lowers or rears so 2 ch is all I'd need. Thanks for your suggestions. :2vrolijk_21:

You'll love the speaker upgrade. I am using 4 of these on my SESG. As for the amp you'll need to see a spec sheet and compare it to the other stuff here on the site. The guys here are a wealth of information. Good luck.

Thanks, I've heard good things about the Hertz speakers, I'll email them to see about the amp manufacturer. :2vrolijk_21:

Just my opinion...

I'm running four (4) of the Hertz ECX 165 which is a 6.5" speaker; 2x fairing and 2x lowers.  These are Hertz's mid-line speakers and are weather resistent.  I'm driving this with Arc 125.2 amp in a 2 ohm configuration or 125 watts per channel up front.  I continue to use the stock HK amp to power the rear speakers at the tourpak.  I opted for the Dragonfly speaker adapters as they're conical vs. a stepped styple mounting; sound flows and doesn't like sharp corners.

My point is 4 speakers, Arc amp, speaker adapters, XM & CB relocation bracket, and silicone wire...  shopping around I bought all this for under $400.  I had another $200 in buying the lower speaker pods and painting.  My $hit rocks.
