IPOD Cable uder gas tank
« on: July 06, 2011, 10:57:30 AM »

I am install the HD IPOD interface and putting the IPOD in the saddlebag.  For those who have done this, how did you run the cable under the gas tank?  The connector is too big to fit thru the wiring channel.  Bike is a 2008 CVO Ultra.

Thanks

I ran mine over the tank under the console, you can barely see it at the front. After running wires for rear speakers, GPS and amp power supply there just wasn't anymore room in the channel. Just be careful where you put the connector if you leave it under the seat, I left mine on top of the ecm once and it got broken by the seat. Now I have it under the bracket for the adjustable backrest, an area the seat pan doesn't come near.
