Rear Turn Signals international
« on: July 06, 2011, 01:52:34 PM »

My left rear turn signal stopped working today. Now I'm checking
the parts book and realize, that I have to order the whole envelope
left turn signal 69496-09A. Is the LED-Part not a separate part as
the lamp was before?

I'm not tech, so my question is: does anybody knows
what the alu-plate on the backside of the turn-signal
is for?

My first guess would be a heat sink

wouldn't a connector to the frame or heck-fender
been easier and less weight?

I've noticed on a few of our longer trips, my left rear turn signal/lights go out intermittently.  Seems like a bad connection (although I've checked it and it is good) or a solder point that is making an intermittent connection.  Go over a hard bump, lights go out.  A couple of days later....go over a hard bump, light works again.

Will be following this post to see what turns up.

My right rear signal just went. Is this part covered under the warranty?

Should be covered if you are under the warranty period.  I'm out of warranty.

Good luck, hope they pick it up.  Would be interested in what the fix is?
