Heard these in Daytona.  They were the best we found.  Did not buy, just listening.  Drew a big crowd when Yaffe fired them up.

They sound great in a parking lot, but you won't hear them going down the road. sound way better if you use a big amp with them as well, the tiny one that comes with them is ok but at the shows the manufactures are upgrading the amp.

Wonder how the 2012 CVO Street Glide saddlebag lid speakers will compare to the aftermarket.  The CVO SG speakers/lids/etc. are available in the P&A catalog:

If you have the stock head unit in the 04, they'll not work.....or at least not very well.  You can do a search for the response that I got from the MoCo back in 04 basically asking if we could add additional speakers.  That head unit (not the same as the CVO Ultra Classic of the same year) has an internal amp that is not compatble with a parallel amp.  So any speakers that you might add would take power from your fairing speakers and there wouldn't be any seperation or fade.

Man, they are really proud of them at $370 just for the speakers.  There's a footnote: Saddlebag lids and model-specific wiring harness sold separately.

and the grills come with the speakers not the lids, so you can't really just buy the lids and put aftermarket spearkers in them.

I hate to sound incompetent, but I've spent the past half hour trying to find Harley's saddlebag lids to go with the new Boom saddlebag speakers your above link displays.

Can you give me some assistance in finding them?

Greatly appreciated, thanks.

Here you go

http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448777401&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302491575&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302491575&bmUID=1311440572048&bmLocale=en_US

If you go to the first link on this thread, you will see them at the bottom of the page.

Thanks a lot for the second link.

One last observation about lid speakers, how do you get the water out of them?  These and all the other aftermarket saddlebag lid speakers have a lower recessed area around the speakers and I can see water accumulating there and only getting out if it evaporates or you open the lids to drain them.

So what is the norm for getting rid of the water from rain while riding etc?
