New Found Respect For Springers
« on: July 08, 2011, 04:26:37 PM »

My SERG Is getting new clutch bearings today.  I thought I was only having the dealer put tires on it!  The service manager offered me his '08 CVO Springer as a loner.  Nice ride!  It seems stock but for a thunderheader and tune.  Had to let you guys and ladies know that I have a whole new respect for springers!

Tempting....   8)  It is a great ride.  Happy with the SERG though and Lord, I have enough $$ in it.  My run around bike is an "03 Titan Gecko Stretch.  Not as comfortable as the CVO Springer but lots of fun.

Don't let them kid you.  The 2008 is a blast.  Nice color, too.  I love my black 2008.  Have fun! There aren't too many out there.  My boyfriend wants me to get a Street Glide, but it is too cushy for me.

Hey there,

I have a 08 and a 09 CVO Springer and I have to say the 08 is the better of the two in rideability. Having said that, the 09 is a whole lot more comfortable. The 09 does like to turn as well because of the wide back tire, but it sure looks the part..

Thank you for settling this long running dispute.  As an 08 owner, I'm biased to agree!  :2vrolijk_21:

I have an 08 Springer, great ride. I see the 09 has a wider tire and does not come with a tach. I imagine it is a great ride. Nice to hear feedback about the 09 wanting to turn. I did not think about that. Fun bike, you have to be careful that the back wheel doesn't spin out in first..in second..in third...  :)

I also one of each, an 08 and an 09. And agree that the 08 turns better, but i prefer to ride the 09. Seems there are a few of us with more than one. Any more out there?

Hi Guys,

I have attached some photo's of my Springers.

I added some 08 bars and risers to fit the tacho on the 09.. It is a lot better to ride after doing this.

The 08 is really a nice bike to ride. It is a lot lower in the seat height too. If you jump on the 09 after riding the 08, you can notice that the 09 does not want to turn as easy as the 08. The 09 is far more comfortable to ride though as it has a far more comfortable seat.
