Battery keeps going DEAD???
« on: July 10, 2011, 01:23:25 AM »

My buddy is riding a Softail and is having trouble with keeping his battery alive.  He changed the stator and voltage regulator last year, and it seemed to work for a short time.  This year he put a brand new battery in it, and it still is having troubles.  He took it to the Harley shop in our area, and they say that there is nothing that they can find wrong with it.  If he leaves with a charged battery, it will be dead by the time he rides for about an hour.  Anyone ever ran into anything like this?

Thanks,

Glide Boy

Only states the obvious but it's not charging the battery.  Check out Axil's recent thread on charging system diagnostics.
