For those of you who installed the SE 6 speed,...
« on: May 24, 2006, 12:37:38 AM »

What did you do with your stock OEM gear set?
Did you find a buyer on e-bay?
Is there a market for used gear sets?

Thanks

Sold mine to a local guy who blew his. A buddy of mine who works at a dealership hooked me up with a buyer. I did check E bay before I sold it and they go for around 250 to 600 depending on how many are on there at one time. I actually got 650.00 for mine so I feel pretty lucky.

That's what I was afraid of.
But at least I know the other folks have sold theirs.

Oh my, if were had the capacity to do it, we have almost a whole bike in replacement parts in a couple  of garages.  Lots of good intentions, and real bad follow through.  :D ;D

If you have the time and patience, I would sell all your take-off parts on eBay. Navigate around a while nefore you list it to see what (if at all) the market will bear. My number on eBay is almost at 500, so I am happy to answer any questions you have if you've not been to eBay before...They will almost always sell, and you get some cash for something that you will never use again. I have sold my own, and I have sold for a friend, enough cash that he got his 6-speed for free (I know hardly). The extra cash can always be good, and look at it this way. We are keeping a piece of a previous ride in the family by utilizing that cash for much needed new toys and accessories.
