My New Exhaust
« on: July 16, 2011, 04:33:27 PM »

Had my 2011.5 for two months now but today was the first time it sounded like a Harley. Seems that Fullsac is the choice of most on this forum and my friends with that setup are all pleased. Me, I have always ran Vance & Hines and have never been disappointed. Dealer installed the Power Dual headers and the HiOutput mufflers. What a deep rich sound when throttling up. Little bark on downshifting but nothing annoying. Nice low tone at cruise speed. Installed a PCIII with a canned map and runs well with that setup. I am leaving next weekend for a week in the Blackhills and upon return I am scheduling a dyno run to fine tune.

I am happy!!!!!!!

Nothing wrong with Vance & Hines.  :2vrolijk_21:  I'm running a full V&H setup on my SESG and love it!!

I have V&H Power Duals, and Monster slip-ons. Looks great, and fitting was easy. the Sound is "Monster", and Ok in town if you "feather" the throttle.

Only complaint, is that the chrome is coming off the end caps, and only after 2 months, have any of you experienced this? what are V&GH like on warranty?

Thx for your input,

Stu

I like V&H, I had the Ovals W/ Rush True Duals. I recently found a used set of Rush 1.75 slip ons and WoW ! Very happy with what I have...

Just installed V&H Dresser Duals with Monster Rounds!  It does really sound like a Harley now! :)

Going open-loop-only like that your record of (no) disappointment should remain intact.  Evidently V&H have a hard time getting the O2 sensor bungs right and show little inclination to address the issue which causes poor sensor activity.  As well, the bungs are in the wrong locations on that pipe for newer bikes with the smaller heated sensors.  None of that should be a problem for you, however.

I'd bet the system does sound good.  I know the sportsters with the similar/equivalent system sounded most excellent on the track at the last Indianapolis MotoGP.
