Upbringing
« on: July 19, 2011, 01:11:47 PM »

As I walked down a busy street, my eye fell upon one  of those  unfortunate, homeless vagabonds (you know, tattered  clothing, long hair etc) that are  found in every town these days.

Some people turned to stare. Others quickly looked away as if the sight would  somehow contaminate  them.

Recalling my  old  Sunday school teacher’s admonition to 'care for the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the naked,' I was moved by some powerful inner urge to reach out to this unfortunate person..

Wearing what can only be described as rags, carrying every worldly possession in two plastic bags, my  heart was touched by this person's condition.

Yes, where some people saw only rags, I saw a true, hidden beauty.

What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men
