According to the MOCO's fitment information, the SESG3 won't accept HD's XM, NIM, CB, intercom or rear speaker accessories that are fairly common add-ons to other fairing equipped Touring models.

The SESG3 "won't fit" is the same as that for the SESG2 for which relatively simple work arounds were devised.  Still, it's surprising that HD didn't address the uniqueness of the SESG2 to make the SESG3 less so, and allow these accessories to be installed as the plug and play accessories they are on other models.

I wonder if that generic plug under the seat is for this stuff.  I was in the overview of features.

If you go to HD's website and check the individual accessories mentioned (e.g. XM, NIM, etc.) you'll see specific exclusions for the SESG2 and 3 models listed.

That seems silly to exclude the top of the line model from being able to add the accesories the base model can.  What were they thinking?  Or more likely in this case, why were they NOT thinking about that?  :confused5:
