We all find something to add, bolt-on, re-paint, stick on, hang or otherwise display on our MCs a being a personal statement of ownership. For me, I've tried to limit such to minor mods/adds...here is one example of something I came up with (own idea) as I'd not seen it done elsewhere (maybe it has / has not)...in any case, thought I'd share....
Triple Post Lock ring replacement (OEM silver painted embossed plastic key hole ring plate) using a genuine silver dollar. My MC is an 08' and unfortunately, the US Mint did not issue a silver eagle that year...so I elected to go with 2011......all I did was find a coin (s dollar) I liked, drilled out the center (same ID as the OEM TP lock ring), and installed it using 3M silicone emblem adhesive. I like the way it looks, clean fit, and the scoring on the edges of the coin seem to reflect well in the reflection of the TPL housing.....finer detail.
I think it adds a nice personal touch...let me know what you think (if you care to)...
