21 inch to 19 inch
« on: July 25, 2011, 06:10:07 PM »

I am really tired (no pun intended) of the way the 21 inch on the springer grabs every little rut and groove. I am thinking on going to a fatter 19 inch on the front. Any idea on the topic? I have someone who can do all of the machine work (axle spacers etc) and is certified from the H words mechanic school, but would like to hear from somebody who has run both and get their take.
thanks

I have run 21's and 19's but not on a springer. I can tell you handling will be night and day better with the 19. Its amazing what another 1/4" of tire will do for you. My Dyna buddies with 21's could never keep up  with my Dyna 19" in the twisties!!!! Go for it you will be overjoyed!!!!! :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:
