Motor1 . . . nice move . . .

Brukus is working on a new security product to secure Tour Packs and pillion seat backs . . . maybe they will work on removable sissy bars too.

Hey Gattornapper, PM me, I have still have my old backrest ( in perfect condition). Traded my 09 SERG,  for my 11, when I went back to dealer to give backrest to  them, they had already sold bike to an out of state dealer. Point is if you cover shipping you can have mine.

You are a class act Motor1! Sorry to hear about what happened Gatornapper but pretty cool result.

"Woulda been real interesting since I pack a S&W M&P 9mm semi-auto in my saddlebag......"

Gatornapper:  I hope you have some saddlebag locks from Brukus on those bags since you are carrying a 9mm in one of them.  These bags can be stolen off the baggers in 15 secs or less.  You might want to think of that little security issue also.  Don't wanna have to pay 1500.00 for a stolen bag.

CH - Another surprise, thought the bags were secure if locked.....will check out Brukus for sure.

98% of my riding is rural or with friends, and I keep the bag with the 9mm locked at all times....of course, I do have a CCW permit.

I have two tourpaks. On the chopped I was able to use two of the Harley quick detach locks.. Cut the key, added it to a bent piece of metal.
On the king tourpak I was never able to get the locks on and work for some reason. So I use a Master lock "handcuff"

http://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-8290DPS-22-Inch-9-Link/dp/B0009V1WQQ

I cut one "cuff" off at the swivel and carry that on trips or anywhere where the tourpak might be exposed for too long.

Only takes a few seconds to attach and works good. Just don't drive with it on as it lays on the fender.

Never even worried about this until I read Don's tale of woe of someone making off with his entire tourpak.
I have also used a cable. Same one that I will run through the wheels and to a pole, just run it up though the detach bracket.

Not trying to be an ass, but it ain't worth a chit in the bag.  Get a good holster and carry it like you should.
