I was expecting a $200 cover from motor parts  to be released for washing and riding in the rain. Honestly I  don't know where they will drain. If you open the lid on the bag they are open on the bottom without a specific  cover. It may be a cool idea that becomes a issue. Who cares at this point, I want one!

If its open under the speaker, seems like the saddlebag will be prone to leaking water. I'm sure they have a kick butt high grade seal that lasts forever. And hopefully the same for the speaker cone so it never leaks.

Using my powers of seeing the future....I see leaks, faded speaker grills, and dented/scuffed grills.  Probably sound good though.

wow , the hot citrus is an awesome color, as a hero color it leaves kermit in the shade, but we will be lucky if we see on this side of xmas down under

I would expect with the speakers being marine grade they should be fully waterproof and not allow any water to leak through them or their cones.  The only place I could see that might leak over time would be the seal around the speaker.  But since that seal is not exposed to sunlight that really should not be a problem either.  I would expect the gasket around the lid itself to dry out and start leaking before the one around the speaker does.  And speakers being none moving parts could easily be sealed with a good RTV or silicone caulking should a problem arise.  I'm not worried, HD managed to figure out how to keep that lid sealed after all.  Give em a little credit.

I'm struggling with liking the brown on this bike. I've let two black units go for fear I would like this one better. I wish I could see one in person, the first one in my area ships on August 12. I'm beginning to fear it's going to remind me of a bass boat in the sunlight.

Look on the positive side, brown is not all that common so that makes it more custom to me.
I too have one ordered and wondering the same thing but will be happy regardless.
Just hope those speaker in the saddle bags don't cause any problems.

We received 5 inches of rain in about 3 hours last night. I ended up riding home in it. No leaks to report. I hope that i can say the same in a couple years, but for right now.... working as designed.
