It's two o'clock in the freaking morning and it's still almost 90 degrees outside.  I'm too old, smart and fat to ride around locally when it's 100-105 almost all day long as it's been much of this summer so far.  But I'm getting pretty damned cranky.  Dammit.

You could think of those living in the upper and lower California Deserts. My brother lives in  the Mojave Desert and gave me the a call the other day to tell me it was 118 degrees daytime and 103 in the evening....I asked what he was doing and he replied " sitting in the pool, drinking a Corona talking to by spoiled brother ". He is always giving me a hard time for buying mortcycles, cars and boats while he swithers in the Mojave Desert... he is one of those guys that has the first nickel he earned and could have anything he wanted but doesnt know it...He is the only guy on this planet that I kiss azz to.  

Anyway, I feel for you all in the Midwest and east coast during this heat spell. Defiantly not hitting us here in Sacramento... We've had some of the best weather I can recall in the last 30 years and riding is awesome, night or day...  I hope everything cools down soon for you folks...

Can remember when doing the road trips more often coming in to Needles or Barstow in the middle of the night because wouldn't do it in the daytime.  Even the middle of the night was blistering.  I may be more of a wimp now than then but damn; 105 here with 50 or 60 or even 70% humidity is just more miserable than I've ever been in the low or high desert.  And your brother sounds like a very cool guy indeed .
