TTS Master tune - A little help please
« on: July 30, 2011, 04:55:10 PM »

I installed the Fullsac Pipes & 2" muffler inserts A fair amount of work but worth it. The bike jumps  :pepper:

I Installed the Master Tune Software on my lap top & updated the program as instructed. I hook it up to the bike & nothing happens  >:(  The computer exceeds the requirements as posted on the master tune web site. One thing I did notice is that I have .net framework 3, and the system requirements call for 2.0 I would expect them to be backward compatible.

I did notice that the serial port on my bike has 3 prongs in a 4 prong plug does any one know if this plug has been broken or is this correct?? I just got the bike back from the dealer & found the port dangling & uncovered. (Quality Control)

If anyone has any thoughts or ideas I would appreciate any help I could get.   Thanks Tom

Did you do the Mastertune download for the Com ports?  Mine would not see the correct com port until I did that, then all was well.  I can't recall exactly where that download was, but it was farily apparent, though it took me  few minutes to figure out that was the problem.

That's what I meant to say...it won't see the com port until you download the driver.

Mine wouldn't work till i made IE my default browser opposed to Firefox...

Once I did that everything came along nicely. something about my version of Firefox preventing plugins and updates to the TTS software.

Make sure your RUN switch is set to ON. That is the most common communication issue.

One other thing that is common is people plugging into the wrong connector on the bike. HD put 2 of the same connectors on them and you might be in the wrong connector. would need year and model to tell you where the correct plug is for sure.

Thanks TCnBham & TN It was the Com Port.   Successfully installed the map supplied by Steve at Fulsac  :pepper: I'm a happy camper. Took it out with the wife on my ear. Tomorrow I'll get out & see what it does.

Thanks Everybody  Ride safe   Tom
