I'd like to thank you guys that offered help & suggestions.  Went on a little 200+ mile fun run today with my new setup.  Bike seemed more responsive.  Sounded like a Harley should.  Couldn't determine about any motor heat reduction...heat index was 110.

One thing - on my rear cylinder, where the Fullsac header enters the clyinder, there are two bolt studs where the flange nuts hold a retaining "thing" (dont know official name...I'm not referring to the snap ring, but the silver metal piece with two hole for the bolt studs to slide into....I installed the header per the instructions in my HD shop manual.  Did the torque in correct sequence, etc.  Also installed new exhaust gaskets.

Here's my question - when I torqued the rear exhaust header to 80 in/pounds (per the manual), I've got about 1/2 inch of stud bolt sticking out past the upper flange nut, and on the bottom, the flange nut is on the bolt stud, but there isn't any portion of the bolt stud extending out of the flange nut.  i tried reinstalling and the same thing happened. I've got no exhaust leaks....is this something i should try to fix....did anyone else encounter this?

Hey Mark

Assuming the studs are the same length, you should have close to the same amount of threads showing. Loosen it back up and go finger tight on both before
tightening both nuts evenly.
