CVO Road Glide Newbie - DFW Texas

New forum member here from McKinney, TX.  Got my first CVO bike a few weeks back - 2011 Road Glide - Slate/Black.  Fell in love with these things when they came out a year ago - just keep talking myself out of it, but eventually my "want one" won out.  I'm coming off of a 2003 Ultra - great bike, but man what a difference this new bike is.  So much easier to ride, more power, etc. - all stuff you guys know already - I'm just a little late to the party.  Most of my riding buddies on touring bikes had upgraded since 2009 - so I've been envious a while of their larger motors, ABS, new frames, etc.

Great forum here!  Been real helpful along the way - looking forward to contributing now.

Welcome to the site from Northern Illinois! I have the same ride and color that I have managed to pile 5,000 trouble free miles on it in the last three months. I have a HOG chapter ride east coming up in September over a week that is about 2,600 miles that I am looking forward to. I know the pain of justifying the purchase but I am betting that you will not regret it! Enjoy the new ride and this great forum.

Welcome from Jax, FL.  My wife was in McKinney before my good looks and wealth lured her to FL  ::)  Raytheon??  Now your friends will be the ones wishing they had your bike.  We also came from an 03 Ultra, that I have to sell after we get back from Sturgis.  Just got 1,000 miles on the bike and have to do the service tonight.  No looking back, love the CVO bikes.
