Fullsac True Duals
« on: August 08, 2011, 10:13:07 PM »

Will the True Duals kit help with the heat on the right side? My wife is getting cooked and she says the 110 is twice as hot as the 96. I've searched the forum and I am a little confused as to what are the true benefits of the kit.
I did wrap the header pipe coming off the rear cylinder but have not had a chance to take a ride yet.
Thanks

Yes, it will help get rid of the heat by eliminating the catalytic converter.  Major improvement.

Just put the true duels on my '08 along with a TTS and a good tune...made a big difference in right side heat....no cats involved with an '08.

I didn't know that Fullsac was doing a "True Dual" setup.  I know the "X" pipe has no catalytic converter and I believe it is high temp coated as well.

I'm not sure why a true dual setup would be any cooler than the "X" pipe as long as both individual pipes still ran in the same parallel path as the "X" pipe or stock pipe does now.

I kept my stock '09 SERG header pipe and just cut a rectangular hole in the side and gutted the cat and welded the piece back in.  This along with the Fullsac 2" baffles, the TTS Master Tune with Fullsac's map, made a world of difference in my heat issues.

I'm running the Fullsac "true-dual" kit on my 113" (using some of the existing exhaust) and I like the setup.
It's a little bit louder than 2-1-2, but heat reduced and nice bark when you get on the gas.
Check out their website at Fullsac.com and get the details, or give 'em a call.
My experiences have been good. :2vrolijk_21:
