2011 FLTHCUSE6 Modifications.
« on: August 11, 2011, 03:19:10 PM »

I thought I would share a few of the changes I have made recently.
I would also like to add I was able to gather all the information needed from
this site and I would like to thank everyone for this valuable resource.

Made the tour pack removable, and moved it back 2 ½ inches.
Put a Harley hidden antenna in the fairing.
Oil Temperature gage.
Paul Yaffe stealth 3 license frame.
Rinehart slip ons.
Finned head bolt bridge painted to match engine.
2009 SERG fascia and lights.

Great looking bike!  I wish MOCO would use that fascia on the Ultras...sure makes the bike look a lot more custom.   :2vrolijk_21:

I love that look Sammy - how long (or how much effort) did it take you?  I am looking to do something similar with the tour-pak, but I am about as handy as a zoo monkey.

Hello rrriley,

I really did not find any of it to be that hard, and it took me around two hours to do the tour pack. I purchased the Harley detachable tour pack kit number 53246-09A and it had pretty good instructions with it. All of the wiring tucks away beneath the seat when the tour pack is removed. I moved the amp to the right saddle bag for the moment.
Please let me know if I can help.

Thanks,
Jerry

Hi there,

I saw this post was a few months old, but I just saw it.

As I wanted a SG to start with, but went for UC beacuse of the wife's comfort, what you've done is exactly what I want to do with mine. I see the removeable Tour pack kit come from HD, can you also put a sissy bar in?

Where did you get the rear fender/light mod kit?

Great job, really looks cool!

Hope to hear from you,

Stu

Hello Stu,

Thank you for the complement on my bike.
The removable tour pack kit did come from HD, and yes you can put a sissy bar and back rest on it. I bought a kit with everything included and the fascia painted to match the bike.

I purchased this from

Chris Nelson 1-480-829-9066 @
Arrowlane
7745 E. Evans Rd.
Scottsdale, AZ 85260

You can also purchase all of the needed parts from HD if you would choose to. You would then have to find someone to paint the fascia to match your bike.

I can give you all of the HD part numbers if you would care to have them.
If there is anything I can do to help you, just let me know I would be happy to do so.
