I was at a Bike Show that had a Dyno on a trailer. For $20 I had it tested.
Bike : FLHTCUSE5
FullSac x pipe with 2" baffles and the TTS Master tune from Steve.
Eddie the tester said that dyno was the most conservative of his company's dynos.
I don't know how many they have, or anything about them.
I will post the sheet.
I was hoping for more HP (86) Torque looks better at (106).
He said that the fuel air ratio is a little lean between 2600 rpm and 4800 rpm.
Steve will you take a look and tell me what you think?
Dynos are great tools for gathering information. If your doing full throttle pulls, your going to get AFR at 100% throttle only. And typicaly from one cylinder only
unless the tuner is lazy enough to sample from behind the collector thus reading mixed gasses from both cylinders. If your drag racing, full throttle AFR is very important. On a Touring bike, its the least important. Sampling AFR at idle, cruise and sustained high speed is very important. A cold engine will produce some of the lowest peak numbers you will ever see. You have oil in three holes that take time to heat up. Engine oil needs to be above 200 deg. 220-240 is best. Your chart shows Run#3. Three runs is not nearly enough to get things at normal operating temps to see the big numbers that everyone hopes for. AFR lines go all over the place as the engine gains heat and the ECM chases cylinder and intake temp readings as it calculates fuel delivery. AFR lines don't stabilize in three pulls. These rolling dyno centers are at these shows for one reason, to make money. Its always fun to see your bike hitting 6 grand as on lookers hold their ears. Point is, your not going to get a lot of usefull information in three pulls from a guy willing to strap your bike on the tray for 20 bucks. Its like the free brake inspection at Midas. It never ends with "your brakes are fine, have a nice day". I have to imagine, you know more about your tune than anybody else, your the one riding this bike. Does it run smooth, pull hard, start easy, get decent milage? If its not doing what a Touring bike should, please call me. If your Quarter mile times are a little off, we can talk about that too!
