Here's another option and the one that I purchased.  Works just fine.

I've got that same rack.  It's very well built, and very reliable as well.  Would definitely purchase again.

I need one for a chopped and king, so I drew it up and will be building it up at work in the next couple weeks. I'll post pictures when it's done.

I have the new "Detach Depot" or whatever-the-hell they call it.
Still in the boxes ... feels rather heavy-duty but have no idea if it was worth the HD premium or not.

Only thing I can say is it seems like a pretty "complete" system for detachable accessories (TP, sissy-bar, backrest, etc)

Thanks everyone for all your input
Here is what I ended up making from 2 pieces of 3 inch x 3 inch x 12 inch long angle aluminium
2 pieces of 1/4 inch x 4 inch x 16 inch long flat aluminium
2 pieces of 3/8 inch stainless all thread
4 acorn nuts washers and some 1/2 inch acrylic tubing misc nuts, bolts and washers
Seems to work fine.
