Well, started to get all excited about picking up the krypto tomorrow and having it for a nice 4 day weekend here in Germany.  Only hurdle that needed to be overcome now that customs clearance was finalized was a pre-delivery inspection.  Bike has been sitting in a crate for a while at HD Rhein Neckar since it is an Exchange New Car Sales bike so the expectation would be no damage (they are the intermediary for customs and storage for US Military).  Well once they opened up the crate and started to go over the bike they found a 'small' chip in the clear coat on the bottom of the right saddle bag towards the back near the skid plate.  To say the least I am not happy at all.  Delivery is now delayed to middle of next week so they can fix it, I miss a 4 day weekend with the bike and need to reschedule a babysitter.

They offered a free leather jacket that I am trying to get swaped for a 4 point docking hardware kit...I have many jackets.

I'm bummed...

Can't you give them the saddlebag to repair and take the bike?  Just pack a bit lighter!

They could always give me a temp replacement bag from their rental fleet! Unless there is more damage than they are letting on.

I did buy the Fullsac Stage I last night...didn't want to be caught riding around with a half sac!

Yeah!  There ya go!  I knew there had to be something you could do to get it for the trip.  Now, if anything else is discovered on the ride (let's hope not!), you can mention it right away.  Enjoy the trip.

Be sure to get written documentation of the damage before you take the scoot. Better safe than sorry.

If you haven't dealt with Rhein-Neckar before they take 10% off of everything and accept the VAT form. So that's theoretically 29% off your bill. Most of the employees spoke great english and the wrenches seemed top notch. Frenchie was in the middle of tearing down a JIMS 131 that threw a lifter roller, some nifty damage in there from that one.

On a different note would love to meet up sometime and see the difference of a Ful Sac system.

Here's a short story for you.
Ordered an Inferno early May of this year and got a call mid July to say bike was at PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) facility.

Cool so I went into dealer (3 hours away) to get everything in place, select pipes, tuner etc.
Plan was to have PDI and pipes fitted collecting bike following week.

After all was done I head of home and 2 hours into the trip home I get a phone call to say bike is a Diamond Black. Wrong color was recorded to VIN number at factory.
Bugger me wrong color so I decided to go for a 2012 SG.

Only thing I will have to wait a little longer, oh well I suppose it wasn't meant to happen hey.

At the end I will have a cool 2012 SG with a few mods I was going to do to the 2011 SG.

Fingers crossed the right color will turn up.
