Had to be Waugh, right?  Got my '09 FLTRSE3 like new there w/22k mis. on it for a very good price.....PO had just traded it for a new Road Glide Ultra....

Yeah, come to Virginia, ride the bike back to Seattle and have a trip you'll never forget....
And I like the family (father/son) that owns/runs Waugh....long time into racing, treat people right, and seem to appreciate the scooters and their history more than just selling another 'unit'.  Always try to stop by and shoot the chit with the ole man and smell his pipe smoke when passing that way.  :beatnik2: har.  spyder

Now that sounds like a dealership I could support!

Hey Spyder, my bad for the negatives vibes on the Death Valley comment. I DO appreciate the heads ups. Thanks!

Didn't absorb any neg. vibes....was just thinking out loud 'cause not everyone has the experience you've obtained in those conditions.  Live & learn & continue to live.  :2vrolijk_21: har.  spyder

Actually, that thought didn't occur to me.  I can see the situation clearly now:  Husband buys bike without wife's permission, wife says "the bike goes or I go", husband gives in and offers bike for sale, no bidders on the sale while wife has time to cool off.  Pretty good psychology now that I think about it.  Thanks, Spyder, for the insight.   ::)

Husband takes balls back from wife and reattaches them.  States this is where they belong and points to his pants and states these are the only pair in the house and I wear them.  Get over it honey.

INCREDIBLE!!!!  I would normally post this in the third party for sale area, but I'm not posting to help the guy sell his bike.  It's not enough that the dealers ask $6 over MSRP....here is a private seller with a used bike doing the same thing:

 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2012-HarleyDavidson-Screamin-Eagle-Cvo-Street-Glide-/330603507909?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item4cf98130c5#ht_500wt_1182    :'(

And he did sell it!

If you look at his other auctions you will see that he has sold other brandnew bikes. Maybe a dealer?

I wouldn't have the heart to tell the buyer how bad he got taken...I'm sure he's extremely proud of the new scooter (as he should be).  It will be a rude awakening if he ever decides to sell...

Sometimes I don't undersatand people......in researching a new bike, wouldn't you go to the manufacturer website and read about it--including the MSRP? Then go to a few dealers and see what they charge???  But to pay that much over MSRP through EBAY is crazy....

Neither would I.  It never ceases to amaze me that people will pay well over MSRP for a CVO, particularly in light of the fact that so much information is only a click or two away for those willing to look.  I guess if you've got more money than you know what to do with, it doesn't matter.  There really is no reason not to be an educated buyer, no matter what the product...I rarely buy anything anymore without comparing on the web.  There are a lot of folks who impulse buy though...I've done it myself in the distant past.

So in the Seattle area we have more HD shops then you can imagine.  Like 6+ within an hour of seattle. I have reached out to several and recieved the same response.  Some want $2,000 over MSRP and others want $5,000 over MSRP.  So bascially you have to pay a $2,000-$5,000 bribe to be allowed to purchase the bike.  I am trying to buy two of them and they still won't budge on the bribe money.

I have a hard time with that...  Are my dealership abnormal or is that pretty much what I will face buying from out of state as well.

Monolyth

Eureka California sells at MSRP, fly down and enjoy the ride home. They have a few CVO's on the floor and I think more of the 2012 model's arriving
shortly.
