Red Eagle ,,,,,

I am surprised at the information you received from the J&M sales department ,,,,,,

we also do not have any person named AL on the sales floor at J&M, is it possible you typed in his name incorrectly ? ,,,,

anyway ,,, I apologize if we did not give you the correct upgrade information for your audio system ,,,,,

shoot a quick email direct to John@Jmcorp.com and I will help you put together a killer system for your Harley ,,,,,

Update...I bought Hog Tunes
« Reply #16 on: August 30, 2011, 10:08:56 AM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok I pulled the trigger

I bought the Hog Tunes set for CVO Ultra's
Six Speakers, 2 ch amp, and the Hog Pod Tweeter.
I want to keep my functions of the HK radio ie AVC.
I want a reliable setup with a good track record and warranty (20 years speakers).
I want to be able to play for hours touring, gas up and go again.
I should have it in sometime next week!
I'll let you know what I think of it.

Thanks to all for all of your input this is what makes this Forum Great!!

I'll bet it is Great!
I never got a quote.  I sent you a pm via this site.  I sent Dr. Vtwin a email, he replied with a quote on front speakers and gave me someone else to contact for the rest of the equipment.
Sorry I dont want to do business like that.

I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from with everyone you talk to, but right off the bat, you do NOT have an EG. You don't even have a UG. You have a Screamin' Eagle Ultra Classic, which has a different amp and set up, including a CB and XM module that you have to consider as well.  Yes, it makes a difference.

As I mentioned in my earlier PM, in person, John's a great guy to talk to and will definitely spend the time to help you put together a great kit. However, as everyone can tell, he's rather challenged with these new fangled forums and some of his posts don't make much sense.  Some of us old guys (including me) just aren't able to communicate with these forums the same as in person, and I'd be willing to bet, John has a bunch of PM's here and he probably doesn't even know it.  It's not like you get popups here, so it is kind of hard to see unless you know what you are looking for. So don't get all tied up about it.

I sent Shawn and Drew at Dr. V-Twin an email today to try and figure out how that got confused as well. I believe they handle everything you need, but I'll give them the PN's and confirm. If they don't, I certainly won't be recommending them anymore, but the stuff is still on their website, so this doesn't make sense either. If they handle J&M, they should be able to get everything I believe. They ARE great guys to work with.

Hopefully, this will help for a 06-12 SEUC only:

If you want to go with the Black Series Speakers without an amp, you need:

Front: HCSK-7252GTM - $199.99
Rear:  HURE-5252GTM - $149.99

MSRP Total:  $349.98 before discounts/shipping - This will give you a tremendous bang for the buck improvement that will be plenty for 90% of the folks out there. BTW I just noticed the prices on this series was lowered.

If you are thinking about adding an amp later, go with the Rokker speakers now for the future flexibiliy:

Front: HCRK-7252GTM-T - $349.99
Rear:  HURK-5252GTM-T - $199.99

MSRP Total:  $549.98 before shipping/discount - the improvement will only be slightly better than above, BUT you gain the ability to upgrade to any of their larger amps down the road.

If you want to add a 250w amp to drive the fronts NOW, I'd recommend going with the Rokker speakers, this is what you'd need:

Front: HCRK-7252GTM-T - $349.99
Rear:  HURK-5252GTM-T - $199.99
Amp:  JAMP-250HC06 - $499.99

MSRP Total:  $ $1,049.97 before shipping/discount - This set up will be more than most people will ever need.

From there, you can add the lowers kit, the rear saddlebags kit, or a larger amp later.

I'm now done with this this thread. If you want to use the above info, great. if not, hopefully it'll help the next guy.

I am not sure where all the confusion came into play, but we do carry and highly recommend J&M equipment as we run J&M audio on our own baggers.

For guys running CVO amps, all you need is the J&M 7.25" front speakers and J&M 5.25" rear speakers.

If you guys have any questions, you can always call us or email us.

Thanks!
