12 FLTRXSE Service manual.. any ideas?
« on: August 23, 2011, 02:55:49 PM »

I recently purchased the 12 FLTRXSE and would like to get a service manual. Does anyone know if an 09 CVO RG manual will do?

i am really looking to swap bars, fork lowers and do other minor stuff, no motor work or anything too crazy.

thanks.

I don't see why not, I see nothing has really changed structure wise, just cosmetic, the Heavy Breather setup versus the Ventilator and a new 2012 compensator setup but I think you should be safe with all the torque specs, etc from the 2009 SERG service manual, recommendations from others? Have fun! :2vrolijk_21:

For my '09 SERG, I got the touring service manual and then the SERG3 Supplement.  You could do with the '09 book but you'd probably want the Supp.  Just a thought.

If you're just looking for something to tide you over until you can get the correct manuals, then the '09 Touring manual should be sufficient for stuff like handlebars and fairing removal/install, etc.  But eventually you will want to get the full set of 2012 model manuals for the most up to date information.  If your local dealer doesn't have them, or wants full price, try one of the online discount dealers.

2012 Touring Model Full Manual      P/N 99483-12     MSRP  $60
2012 FLTRXSE Supplement            P/N 99525-12     MSRP  $40
2012 Electrical Diagnostic Manual   P/N 99497-12     MSRP  $60
