Air Filter trim 110 badge
« on: August 24, 2011, 03:49:05 PM »

Does anyone know the part number of the air filter trim 110 badge? Mine has either fallen of or has been taken.

The "110" insert in my parts book is #29674-09 and is a restricted part.

Warranty issue?

BTW, I have seen a very cool "Screamin' Eagle Head" insert but don't have the part number handy.

For 2010, part number 28705-10, Insert, SE110.
For 2011, part number 28749-11, Insert, SE110.

Strange thing about that.  The 2010 part has an MSRP of $52 US, the 2011 part has an MSRP of $120 US.  I haven't seen them in person side by side, so I'm not sure what the difference is. :confused5:

The 11 badge has that alligator material behind the 110 where the 10 does not.

I've just spoken to the MoCo Customer Services and it looks like the badge / emblem is not sold separately. You have to buy the complete oval shaped leather covered insert and the emblem. The part number for the 2011 is 28749-11 and the US cost is about $120. This equates to about £130 - a lot of money for a badge.

Can anyone recommend an alternative or a good US based parts supplier who will post to the UK?

Hi Cliff,

I use a Harley dealer in the US that ships parts to me via a US address (the only way you can get parts now from US ) I can get them to quote for the part you need, just let me know, cheers, Paul.

Well, just noticed mine was missing today. Same old dealer blah, blah, blah - Sorry not a warranty part $120 please. Ordered the $15.00 Screamin Eagle "eagle head" instead.

When the emblems falling off are not isolated incidents you have to think about quality.

The difference would be about $68. :huepfenlol2:
