Exactly. If there was not a demand for the labor provided by illegal immigrants, there would be a lot fewer of them here. Who would work in the chicken plants, on the produce farms, etc, etc, etc. ?
So, if anyone wants to blame something/somebody for this general issue, look at those who HIRE them for dirt cheap payrolls. This ain't a new problem...neither is drunk driving, regardless of their nationality. The only thing that really matters is that these families are changed forever.
I agree, somewhat. If the borders were sealed and they could not get in, in the first place. We wouldn't be having this discussion. I blame the government for not sealing the borders. Matter of fact the current POTUS announced that if the legislation for providing amnesty was not approved, he would make sure they weren't protected. How about that? The greatest failure yet is at the Diplomatic level where the embassy's issue Visas. The funding for this activity is considered low priority and the budgets are painfully low. So, as a result when someone requests a visa for entry into our nation, they are not investigated nearly as thoroughly as should be. Consequently, some enter our country with criminal records and undesirable backgrounds.

Crossing our borders daily are illegal emigrant's from all parts of the world, not just Mexico. They have found Muslim prayer rugs and Korans in the desert, south of Tuscon. There are tons of drugs being carted in unabated along Arizona's border, along with thousands of who knows who and why? All because some politicians want to get a bunch of illegal alien (today) votes later. Bast...ds
The time is ripe for anyone who would do our nation harm to take advantage of the ignorance our leaders are demonstrating at this time. We have NO idea how many weapons of many types have been smuggled into this country.
The DUI issue is just the tip of the iceberg. Our elected officials have failed us at every turn making this country safe for our children, when it comes to illegal aliens. Time for change.

In California it is an epidemic. There are millions in Los Angeles alone. If anyone wonders why this state is going bankrupt, just needs to look at all the freebees being given to those who did not earn it, did not contribute nor do they have any business here. Some are even calling for the overthrow and return to Mexico the land that was lost in the War with Mexico. That's a laugh. They escape the squalor created by a repressive government and want to bring it up here...go figger. Nuts.
Hit a sore spot for me on this one. My family has been in this country since the 1700s on Mom's side and the 1850's on Dads. My family has also served and fought in every conflict since the Revolution, including me. I believe lawful emigration is a wonderful thing and the day we stop, is the day this country starts to die. We need a constent flow of new talent and blood into this great nation for it to prosper. But we do not need it unabated, and unaccounted for with felons and drunks re-entering our borders, even after several arrests. Not to speak of potential terrorists...they're here...believe it.
