30T sprocket and 6700 miles!
« on: August 26, 2011, 09:50:57 AM »

Ride report:
I did the "conversion" to a 30T front pulley and belt (Drag) purchased from Fullsac about 2 months ago.
Just got back from a short trip to the Northwest, 2-up, pulling my overweight trailer.
Results: bike ran and performed great (100/100 HP/TQ)
The combo performed as advertised, and the belt was checked when I had to put on new tires, no issues, no cuts, no holes, no nothing!
The increased "driveability" was very noticeable from my "before and after" conversion.
The bike will still run as fast as I would ever want to go, and the trailer will tow just fine.
Just to say if the bike is set up properly I believe this is a good combo.
(Your results may vary!) 8)
Thanks again, Steve, for your input!

Looking at your tag line, with the mods you have on the '10, I think you will be very happy with the way the bike performs once you get everything fixed.
Too bad you have these issues now when you could be riding.
I have the resources to do all my own work, and if I mess something up, it's on ME.
I really like the way my '10 runs (my '09 was very similar, without the 30t sprocket and also ran great)
Too bad we have to dump $1000-2000 into our new bikes to get them to run right.
JMHO....
Good luck.
