I owned a Rocketlll in 2005. It was one bad ass machine. It would spank just about anything that came along 0-60. Also was a HOT SOB to ride.

Check out the Rocket vs a 1300 Hayabusa.........

A good friend of mine has a Rocket III.  He added a front fairing, and had motor work done along with a custom tune.  This thing is freaky fast.  My 117 makes 130/130 and his bike makes mine seem like a stock 88.  He met me for a ride once and showed me the maximum hp screen on his GPS when he got there.  It was 137 mph, with his wife on the back!  :vrolijk_26:  He's crazier than I am...  He took it on a trip to NC and TN once and said that it was "too much bike for those twisty-ass roads."  Probably had more to do with the way he rides it though.

It's dif, but I kinda like it.
If I didn't need the storage space a touring bike provides, I might give it a look.
Just love the big motor, would hall my fat ass around pretty good. :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

May be, but the only thing you'd be looking at is the tail light disappearing..................  ;D

Sounds like the rear fender is too long, it scrapes the pavement.

Add front fairing, hard bags, larger seat and it makes for a great touring bike.  Better looking than a GW to me, but maybe that's because I'm used to looking at it from behind.  If a touring bike can have too much power, this thing is on the borderline, IMO.

Yea, it needs a couple of other options for more of a "touring" bike, but it really is an awesome bike.  Maybe they will offer more than the standard type windscreen, music, and some kind of TP.  I saw a "How It's Built" thing on TV a while back about this bike and how it is produced.  I've always love Triumphs... But, I'm Old.

The Triumph is an interesting bike.
And ya gotta admit it would be great to tell everyone you own and ride a Rocket!
