Between the front frame down tubes there is a cross-member with two holes, I used one of them.

Hung mine from a empty hole on the right side near the front floorboard mounting bolt. Seen them in lots of different places on bikes. Don't think it really matters, just put it any place you like.

When I researched it i found a write up (The Legend of the Bell) it said to put it on the LEFT peg/floor board.

I better get mine over there...I've been runnin' with it on the RH hole on the little crossmember......if I'm gonna be superstitious, I might as well do it right!

Oh. I guess I have always had them on the wrong side. Always put them on the right side.
Ain't gonna change now though, may mess up any luck I have. LOL

I have mine on the right side floorboard bracket (Thanks Dave and Donna!).

I have read on other forums that depending where you mount it on the crossmember or crash bar, it could leave a small dent on the back of the front fender. Under hard front braking, the forks will compress and if the bell is hanging too low, it will strike the backside of the fender and leave a small dent. So check and double check your clearances.
