It's quite the fun few days. Not the typical biker rally or group. Walking encyclopedia's of vintage bikes and all the bits and pieces... I only saw one CVO other than mine. There were quite a number of 30's/40's/50's vintage cycles were ridden to the event. Both fun and interesting. It covers the 13 acre fairgrounds. My friend Ken has a 47 Knucklehead he is restoring. It's about 95% original parts now. Numbers match with the exception of the tranny. It has a 41 tranny. Each year he finds a part or two. We've been attending this event for 4 years now. This year he found a right side tank emblem and the front fender white light/housing. $1200 for the two parts... $900 for the front fender light and $300 for a single tank emblem.
Said hello to Dale Walker (Wheels thru Time Museum at Maggie Valley). He had a couple of bikes participating in the flat track races, and had a booth set up, as he does each year. Bought raffle tickets for his 36 knuckle auction (as I do each year - so far no luck at all.) Winning the bike would definitely get me to Maggie Valley to pick it up!
