Sorry to hear that Tommy had infected you with a hernia and cantankerous gallbladder problems when traveling with him earlier this summer.  ??? Very glad to read your doing well John.  :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:  Prayers for a quick recovery!!!!

Good morning everyone! :drink:

Finally, I can keep my eyes open!  :smart: Went in yesterday morning at 7 am, surgery was at 9am, out of there before 2pm, made it home before 3pm and felt good considering what my body went thru. The biggest problems I had was keeping my eyes open and when I talked, trying to keep from getting Cotton Mouth. Thank God I didn't have to go #1 before they let me leave the hospital. Nurse said some doctors require it but my doctor did not so I get to leave early. Praise God! :2vrolijk_21:

The only problem I had came last night. I was going to the bathroom (another Praise!) and when I finished I got one of them chills down my back that turned into one of those uncontrollable shakes! Ever had one??? Last time I had one of those is when my appendix ruptured in 2004. I tensed sooo bad that my teeth hurt from gnashing so hard and every muscle in my body was sore from tensing up over and over. Afterwards I felt like I was I on the losing end of a fight! :nervous: Well, last night was no different except I have 5 holes in my belly and trying to hold my guts in while shaking. Lasted about a minute which seemed like an hour! Got under some blankets and no more worries!

This morning when I got up there is quite a bit of swelling where the hernia was repaired. Hope I didn't push out the fiber thingy he poked in there the hole was! :huepfenlol2: Shoulda iced it down last night but didn't think about it till this morning. Feels pretty good! :D As I was thinking of the possibility of having to redo the hernia, well I'd rather not go there.

I again thank everyone for your prayers and thoughts, I ask that you direct your prayers that I don't need a redo on the hernia. I would greatly appreciate it! I go see the doctor next week. Thanks again everyone, love ya'll, and God Bless! :2vrolijk_21:

Hopes and prayers for a speedy recovery!

Oh and start making up a good story about the scars - if there are five, you can say you wrestled the gun away from the guy who attacked you before he emptied his six-shooter on ya!

I hope you're back in the saddle on a nice twisty road very soon!!

Well today is a great day! I really feel good! Real good! The hernia area has been limiting my movement due to the location...until today. I haven't had to use any pain meds since Monday's surgery and the swelling is way down. The hard part now is to try and do nothing. Man, I already gased up the mower and was ready to cut the yard since all I would be doing is walking, then I remembered the doctor telling me to wait until after I see him Tuesday. That may be best anyway. It's around 100 today and supoose to be in the 80's next week....Yeah, Ill wait! ;D It has been uplifting and encouraging to read this thread. Thanks so much for your thoughts and especially your prayers. Love ya's and God Bless! :2vrolijk_21:

John, really glad to hear you're feeling better, but I think you did the right thing deciding to wait!  DO NOT show this photo to your doctor! :huepfenlol2: :huepfenjump3: :drink:

Keep resting up and hope to see you in a few weeks, buddy! :2vrolijk_21:
