Does anyone know where this roll of switch is on a '06 SEUC?  I'm thinking it has to be near the TB??

In the idle cable along the right side of the frame at a position just barely forward of the front head.

The cruise will also cancel if you manually accelerate 10mph or more above the set speed. Meaning you have the cruise set and grab the throttle and accelerate without turning the cruise off. As long as you don't exceed more than 10mph, your original speed setting will remain intact.

My cruise stays set.......after catching up to traffic, accelerating and passing at 25-30 mph above the set speed, pull back into right lane, release throttle and resume set speed. Maybe that is something that Russel @ Lonewolf changed when he changed the throttle 'sensitivity'??

Pretty easy to find.  It's a switch that is part of the idle cable.  Can be identified by finding the two individual wires that plug in to the cable adjackent to a black plastic boot.

So it's up on the neck on the right side?

The cables aren't installed yet on this frame.  But the switch will be about where the black arrow is pointing.

Yep, when you mentioned the black plastic boot, that is constantly sliding forward, I knew exactly where you were talking about. Thanks!

My roll off switch hasn't worked for 2 years.  I think the insulation in the switch deteriorates and that causes he switch to ground out.   You can just unplug one of the wires to it and then it will work fine other than you don't have the roll off feature.   My luck I would replace it and it would go bad again right away.

Mine still works fine on the '05, but it is a rather useless feature IMHO.  Since it only takes a light tap on either brake to shut the system down, or holding the button in the decel position until the speed drops below the lower threshold, or flipping the dash switch off, or pulling in the clutch on recent models, or hitting the run/stop switch, I don't see much need for even more redundancy.  The only reason I know my roll off switch works is that I test it a couple times a year just to satisfy my curiosity, otherwise I just flick the front brake lever.

It's no insignificant chore to change.  Cable routes through the fairing, tank is in the way, overall a small pain in the arse.  And all that for not much utility.  Mine on the 05 still works.  And on the old Road Glide.  But if any ever crap out they'll just get unplugged too.

ALL bikes with factory cruise control have had the roll off feature going back as far as I can remember.  The old cable system had a switch built in to the throttle return cable to turn off the cruise, then it became all electronic with the '08 change to the electronic throttle control.  The guy with the 2010 has something wrong with his and he needs to take it in and get it fixed.  Could be something as simple as a binding grip or sensor, if the grip won't in fact move forward at all.

It's called a " Roll Off" switch for the cruise

I tried mine on the way home and after twisting it in to reverse pretty hard, I finally felt a click and it worked. Tried it a few more times and it loosened up, and worked easier.  Not sure that I'd rather not flick the front brake, but at least I'm not feeling the urge to fix something else.   :orange:
