Motolights vs hyperlights
« on: September 03, 2011, 04:46:24 PM »

Before I make a decision which lights to put on my FLTRUSE, I would love the input from my CVO community. Please advice in regards to pros and/or cons for each of them or at least the one that you know about.

Thanks

they look bright.  If someone uses them please advise on the brightness.  I thinking on putting the break lights on my Motorhome.

If I had 2 bikes and tons of cash , I would do it . Since that is not the case, I will be for the comments of those that have either one.

A good number of folks here and elswhere have posted mostly positive reviews in the Motolights. However, if you do a search here, this is the only thread that mentions Hyperlights.

Also, if you review that site you posted, and read it closely, these White LED fork lights are not designed to throw light on the roadway. They are designed to be running lights to enhance visibility to other drivers. BIG difference.

Here's a clip:

These lights do not take the place of your driving lights. They are hugely effective at alerting oncoming traffic of your presence. They DO NOT project a useable volume of light on the road.

Imho, it's pretty clear these things will not perform anywhere near the Motolights, and frankly, they were not designed to.

I was also looking at an LED alternative for driving lights... those do not seem to be it.

Motolights seem to be the only good alternative for now... wish they would come out with an LED option for driving lights in a housing similar to what Motolights have...
