2011 roadglide ultra misfire
« on: September 05, 2011, 04:27:45 PM »

On occasion if I slow down through the gears in traffic my engine will sometimes cough and almost dies upon reopening the throttle , not a real problem most of the time,  but the slight hesitation can cause a clumsy feet down moment, any thoughts?Apart from this problem this engine is the smoothest best running Harley I have owned

Mine was sorta like that. But more of a TBW, throttle lag issue. That was corrected when the Power Commander V was installed. I could be wrong, I'm sure others will advise.

If you do not have a tuner on it, the TBW has a lag time. When you get a good tuner on it like TTS or PCV, or even the SE tuner, it will correct the problem. It will be so much better. I do believe this is your problem. My SESG did about the same thing at times. Just my observation. Good luck.

Just a thought:  My buddy has an '11 SERGU that has the same problem, even with the SE tuner.  The dealer put on the tuner, but it just has a canned map--no dyno tune done--made me wonder if the canned map is the problem.
