Picked up our 2011 FLTRUSE in Tennessee and, after enjoying rides in the Great Smoky Mountains and Tail of the Dragon, we are riding to San Diego to ship "Trigger" (Frosted Ivory/Vintage Gold) back to Kauai. This bike has a factory installed iPod .............. anyone know how to pause/stop the iPod playback while riding? Ideally with the handlebar controls .........but a pause/stop button on the Harman Kardon radion would also be okay.

There's no pause function on the radio.  You can change to another source, like CD, and if there's no CD in the unit, it acts the same as pausing.  The Ipod should return to the last song playing when you go back to that mode.

Thanks TCnBham. Had the same thought and tried switching to CD function using the right handle button ........but without a CD in the player .... the radio appears to skip over the CD selection. i.e. it's not selectable. Is there a way to easily mute the iPod?

You're right about the CD thing...it won't stop there unless one is in the slot...brain fart.  You'd have to switch to FM/AM/XM.  There's no easy way to mute the Ipod...you could flip the rocker switch on the lower inner fairing to Intercom only, IF you don't have headsets/cords on at the time.  Other than that, it's the Volume control on the left bar, or the ON/OFF button on the radio
