Ride of the 4 Corners Area
« on: September 06, 2011, 04:29:12 PM »

Holy cow Batman that was the greatest ride ever. Several of us trailered out to Albuquerque NM and rode the best roads and had the greatest time. I'm at work do not have to post5 it all but I will add and try to get a few pictures up.

On the last day of the trip I met up with Dessert Hog(Simon and did a half day ride out to some Indian ruins BUT that turned out very badly. Simon hit some gravel getting on the interstate and went down but that is another thread.

About the 4 corners,a few year back ,it was a free entrance and now you have to pay $3 by person.
Same thing for Zion Park, now $25 to get in.
Monument Valley, before it was a free entrance, now is $15 to enter.

The only place we paid to enter was the Arches National Park and at $10 per bike it was worth it. The free roads were good enough for me.

We traveled through Tuba City in AZ----Hanksville in UT----Moab---Rigway Co then down the 550 into Farmington NM and then Sante Fe--Madrid--and Albuquerque.  Great loop of 1600 miles in six days.

We had the rain and dust storms and saw some dry washes turn into raging floods, very cool. It was 100 in the shade at times and 50 with long johns at others. Be prepared out West and gas up often.

Sorry Guys another worthless thread by me. The pictures turned out poorly. Sorry I could not do better.

Big risk on my part to say what I just did as there are some on here that take cheap shots where they think they can.

I don't think anybody would do that.  Readin all the posts above, looks like they were all posted with the same humor that I posted with.  Pictures or not.....hope you're having a great day! :2vrolijk_21:

By the way, we all post pics that turn out poorly.....it goes with the territory.  Just go ahead and post up.   ;D

JCZ you are right none of these posts are anything but fun and games. I just got my thin skin burned on another thread. The real truth is that I am some what challenged when it comes to computers but I will try to show one of the better pictures.

Greg I'd love to. maybe another year. :2vrolijk_21:

You need any help with posting pics or anything else.....you just contact one of those guys that has "Moderator" under his username.  There's a few of em'.....just snatch on to one and shoot him a PM (private message) and he'll be glad to help.  We weren't born knowing what we know about computers....we were all new at some point in our lives.  By the way.....this really is a pretty helpful bunch here......just ask on the board.....you'll get all kinds of help.

For starters, here's the thread on posting attachments (photos, etc.)...click this link.....  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=2540.0

You can find the answer to a lot of questions about this board here....  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?board=16.0
