There're a few different locations for instuctions and pictures out there for this install, so I'm not going through everything - just some tips...
1. Do NOT take off the heat shields while the pipe is still on the bike - just loosen them up really well.
2. Remove the mufflers before anything else (other than the saddle bags of course)
3. Do NOT remove the cross-over from the head pipe until AFTER the head pipe is off the bike
4. Remove the right side floor board - it will be in the way of the pipe coming off and going on.
4A. Remove the board from the mounting arms then remove the rear arm
5. Follow the exhaust sensor wires up to their connectors (behind the right side cover) and disconnect them from their color coded connectors
6. Thread the sensor wires through the frame (carefully cutting the zip ties on them - mark the zip tie locations with some chalk or crayon) until they are free of the frame, lay them on the ground under the bike (out of the way)
7. Do NOT remove the sensors until the old pipe is completely off the bike and lying next to the new pipe THEN ONE AT A TIME remove them from the old and install in the corresponding hole on the new pipe
8. After the old head pipe in off, move the cross-over from the old pipe to the new pipe
9. Pre-install the heatshields on the new X-pipe - leave them loose though so that they can be adjusted - tighten after ALL parts are installed
10. On the Streetglide, the Fullsac box is the perfect height to support the new pipe while installing it
11. CAREFEULLY cut the welds on the stock cores with a dremel and cut-off wheel - use a hammer to tap the core back into the can THEN grind the weld on the inside wall - this will save you some serious time BUT CUT CAREFULLY in order to not cut through the wall of your muffler
12. Use a scratch awl (nail, etc) to mark your 1.5" drill point then remeasure to make sure you're right on
13. Drill a pilot hole with a very small bit - this will keep your 1/4" bit from walking
14. When saving your original map - you must go to the COMMAND menu at the top of the window and select the save original map action THEN click the save map button toward the bottom right of the window
Well, that's all the notes that I made.
I hope they've been helpful - again, I didn't include complete instructions and pics because there are a few out there already - including in this forum.
