Are you kidding.  I haven't seen dry land all week (and won't til Monday, 9/12, via TWC).  They say we've had the 2nd highest rainfall here this week so far (Wash D.C., hurricane Agnes in '72 set the record).  Today was the worst.  12" of standing water on a lot of intersections.  Saw a couple of 'metrics" on the road, but my "scoot" stayed on dry land.  Did get caught in a "frog strangler" this season.  Found a friendly bridge and waited it out.  Lookin' forward to some serious sunshine.

In case no one has noticed all car/truck speakers in the doors get wet, everytime you wash the car or it rains. Nothing seals the back side of the speakers from the elements, water runs down thru the door past the glass seal (belt mldg) and drains out bottom of the door. They don't get waterlogged, I have had lots of cars never had a speaker problem from water and the ones on my Road Glide in the dash sure get wet when it rains. Wet speaker damage is another thing to not worry about.

I know you guys are talking about speakers here with the rain.......But; my SESG is the first bike I have ridden with ABS.......and I love it.  What a sense of security knowing I don't have to worry about the back end snaking around.  In Chicago I have been riding in the rain for the last week.....it's been wet everyday and the bike has been a pleasure to ride; But I am tired of being wet..... :divers009: :divers009:

I think that would be a great idea! I hope someone comes up with a slick way to keep these babies dry... not looking forward to my first "waterlogged speakers"...

Hi all.  My Hubby and I went away a couple of weekends ago.  Got to our destination and got home dry.  Parked the bikes at the hotel upon our arrival Friday afternoon and it started raining, and rained until we left Monday morning.  It poured the entire 2+ days.  His 2012 Blk/Slate CVO Street Glide speakers were fine.  He unlatched the lids expecting a waterfall and a trickle dripped out.  Van Halen took care of the rest.   Not a problem at all.  HE LOVES THIS BIKE.   Waiting for mine - Ruby Red.

Thanks for that posting Chicky and welcome to the forum.
Grey/Black - awesome colour and also the fastest colour.
I have another month to go before mine, with the same paint scheme, gets delivered.
I hope my first day riding the new bike will be dry.
